O R D E R

The petitioners have come forward with this petition seeking a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tiruvarur to refund the sum of Rs.5,000/- paid by each of the petitioners to the credit of the Crime No.282/2013. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that while the petitioners were enlarged on bail, they were directed to deposit a sum of Rs.5,000/- each to the credit of Crime No.282 of 2013 before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tiruvarur. He further submitted that after investigation, a charge sheet has been filed and the same was taken on file in S.C.No.84 of 2015. The said case was disposed on 10.08.2015 and the petitioners were acquitted from the charges levelled against them. According to the petitioners, no appeal has been preferred by the State. Hence, the petitioners are entitled to refund the amount of Rs.5,000/- each, which were deposited by them at the time of enlarging them on bail.

3.Heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor. 4.Considering the rival submissions made on both sides, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tiruvarur, is directed to refund the sum of Rs.5,000/- paid by each of the petitioners to the credit of Crime No.282/2013.

5. The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
