ORDER

The present criminal original petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register a case based on the petitioner's complaint dated 07.01.2014.

2. The petitioners have joined the chit, which was conducted by one Mrs.Poongodi and they have also deposited a sum of Rs.4000/- per month in the chit right from 10.01.2011. On completion of payment of the chit amount, when the petitioners asked the said Poongodi to repay the chit amount, she refused to repay the chit amount. Hence, the petitioner lodged a complaint against her. The respondent police had also issued CSR/.No.10/2014 on 07.01.2014. But, thereafter there is no progress in the case. Hence, the present criminal original petition has been filed.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that after receipt of the complaint given by the petitioner, C.S.R.No.10 of 2014 has been assigned and a https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

detailed enquiry was conducted and thereafter, the complaint was closed. He has also produced a copy of the closure report.

4. Since the complaint given by the petitioners has been closed, nothing survives in this petition. Therefore, the petition is dismissed. However, the petitioners are at liberty to work out their remedy under Section 156(3) of Cr.P.C.
