This Writ Petition has been filed seeking writ of certiorarified mandamus, calling for the concerned records from the third respondent, quash the notification issued by the third respondent dated 01.11.2012 bearing No.42/2012 as illegal, arbitrary and contrary to Rule 2(a) of the Tamil Nadu Fisheries Service Rules and consequently direct the respondents to fill up the vacancies in the post of Assistant Director of Fisheries in accordance with Rule 2(a) of the Tamil Nadu Fisheries Service Rules.

The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that as per the instructions received from their clients, the petitioners 1, 2 and 4 are promoted as Assistant Director of Fisheries during the pendency of this writ petition and the third petitioner died.

In view of this factual position, the learned counsel for the petitioners submits that nothing survives in this writ petition for adjudication. 4.
In view of the above submission and the considered opinion of this Court, no further adjudication is required in this writ petition. 5.
Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. 6.
Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 7.
There shall be no order as to costs.
