Respondent Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482, Cr.P.C. to direct the respondent to investigate the accident that took place on 28.09.2015 at about 4.00 a.m. on GST Road, near Thiruneermalai Road Junction, due to the rash and negligent driving of the driver of the Mini Lorry bearing Reg.No.TN-47-Y0322, in accordance with law and file the final report in Crime No.543/CHI/2015 within 3 months.

O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to investigate a case in Crime No.543 of 2015 and file a final report within three months.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that the investigation in Crime No.543 of 2015 has been conducted and further action has been dropped.

3. In such view of the matter, this Court cannot issue a direction to the respondent police to investigate the case in a particular manner in the light of the law laid down by the Supreme Court in Shariff Ahmed and others vs. State (NCT of Delhi) [(2009) 14 SCC 184].
