Respondent Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representation dated 27.05.2024 made by the petitioner for delete his name in the list of History/Rowdies Sheet maintain in the respondent police station and decide the same in accordance with law within a reasonable time as may be fixed by the Hon'ble Court.

ORDER

This petition is filed to remove the name of the petitioner from the History Sheeter Register.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that since no case is pending against this petitioner as on date and the Criminal Case in S.C.No.222 of 2022 is ended in acquittal vide judgment dated 14.04.2024, the name of the petitioner from the history sheeter register should be deleted and the representation given to the respondent on 27.05.2024 to delete the name of the petitioner is not yet considered. Hence, this petition for issuing Mandamus.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) states that the representation of the petitioner dated 27.05.2024 is under active consideration and necessary order will be passed based on PSO 747 and 748.

Advocate (Crl.Side), this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondent herein to dispose of the petitioner's representation, preferably, on or before 31.12.2024. No costs.
