Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus to directing the respondent to allot land in Survey No.201/3 Government Tarisu Land in Amarakunthi Village, Omalur Taluk, Salem District or in the alternative to grant Government employment to one of petitioner's family member by considering petitioner's representation dated 02.11.2020 and pass orders.

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking a direction to the respondents to consider his representation dated 02.11.2020 and pass orders.

2. The learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the official respondent. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel appearing for either side, this petition is taken up for final disposal.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the Government had acquired the petitioner land in Survey No.202/6 Amarakunthi Village, Omalur Taluk, Salem District. Hence the petitioner seeks either to allot an alternate land in Survey No.201/3 Government Tarisu Land in Amarakunthi Village, Omalur Taluk, Salem District or to provide Government employment to any one person belonging to petitioner's family and with regard to the same he has given a representation to the second respondent on 02.11.2020. However, till date no orders have 2/5

been passed. Hence, this writ petition is filed with the aforesaid prayer.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.11.2020 and pass appropriate orders within a reasonable time fixed by this Court.

5. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondent submitted that the petitioner's representation dated 02.11.2020 will be considered by the respondent within a reasonable time fixed by this Court.

6. Considering the limited request made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to direct the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.11.2020 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above terms, this present writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
