Prayer :- Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to dispose of the first appeal No.211 of 2012 filed by the petitioner under Section 3-G of National Highways Act, 1956 in accordance with the provisions of National Highways Act, 1956 within the time frame stipulated by this Court. For Petitioner : Mr.R.Prabhakaran For Respondents : Mr.G.Ameedius, Government Advocate COMMON ORDER The writ petitions are filed for direction directing the first respondent to dispose of the first appeal Nos.215 & 211 of 2012 filed by the petitioners under Section 3-G of National Highways Act, 1956 in accordance with the provisions of National Highways Act, 1956 within the time frame stipulated by this Court.
2. Without expressing any opinion on merits of the writ petitions, the first respondent is directed to consider the first appeals filed by the petitioners in first appeal Nos.215 & 211 of 2012 and, after issuance of notice to the petitioners and giving them opportunity of hearing, pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
3. With the above direction, both the writ petitions are disposed of. No order as to costs.
