ORDER
By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The relief sought in this writ petition is to direct respondents 2 & 3 to cancel the sub division of Patta Nos.3092 & 3093 made in Survey Nos.182/2 and 182/3 into S.Nos.182/2A, 182/2B, 182/3A and 182/3B of Thalavadi Village and Taluk, Erode District based on the petitioner's Representation dated 18.07.2025.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is the owner of the agricultural land comprised in Survey Nos.182/2 and 182/3 of Thalavadi Village and Taluk, Erode District. The petitioner neither made any request nor submitted any Application before the 3rd 2/6
respondent seeking to subdivide the agricultural lands comprised in Survey Nos.182/2 and 182/3. However, 3rd respondent unilaterally subdivided the agricultural land comprised in Survey Nos.182/2 and 182/3 into S.Nos.182/2A, 182/2B, 182/3A & 182/3B without issuing any notice to the petitioner.

It is further submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that aggrieved by the aforesaid act of 3rd respondent, the petitioner submitted a Representation dated 18.07.2025 before the respondents 1 & 2, requesting to cancel the sub-division of Patta Nos.3092 & 3093 made in Survey Nos.182/2 and 182/3 into S.Nos.182/2A, 182/2B, 182/3A and 182/3B of Thalavadi Village and Taluk, Erode District, but, the same is pending.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that respondents 2 & 3 would consider the petitioner's Representation dated 18.07.2025 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 3/6

The above submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents has been fairly conceded by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

In view of the limited relief sought by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to dispose of this Writ Petition on the following terms: (i) The respondents 2 & 3 shall consider the petitioner's Representation dated 18.07.2025 and pass appropriate orders, after issuing notice and affording a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, 3rd party at whose instance the petitioner's agricultural land was subdivided and all other interested parties including rival claimants, if any, within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of uploading of the web copy of this order without waiting for the receipt of a certified copy of this order. (ii) The respondents 2 & 3 shall independently consider the facts and law set out in the petitioner's Representation and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law including but not limited to the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act, 1983 and Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Rules, 1987.

(iii) It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law. Rights and contentions of the petitioner and all other interested parties are left open. No costs.
