ORDER

By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2.The petitioner has applied for a commercial electricity service connection and seeks the respondent to provide him the service connection. 3.Mr.L.Jaivenkatesh, the learned Standing Counsel takes notice for respondents 1 to 3.

4.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents, made a statement, on instruction, that the petitioner's application is under scrutiny. 2/4

5.Heard Mr.G.Vasudevan, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.L.Jaivenkatesh, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 1 to 3.

6.This Court now directs the first respondent to consider the application of the petitioner and to provide him with an electricity connection, if he has satisfied all the requirements and norms. If however, the first respondent requires any further clarification or information, he is required not to reject the application forthwith, but he may be required to issue a notice to the petitioner to provide him with such additional information or clarification in the matter.

7.The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly with the above direction. No costs.
