PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, praying to direct the respondent police to take further action on the complaint given by the petitioner on 14.08.2019 against Mr.Nandakumar and Mr.Jude Fernandez in CSR No.296 of 2019.

O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to take further action on the complaint given by the petitioner on 14.08.2019 against Mr.Nandakumar and Mr.Jude Fernandez in CSR No.296 of 2019.

2.It is submitted by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that since the amount involved in the complaint exceeds 50 Lakhs, the complaint has been closed with a direction to the complainant to approach the Central Crime Branch. 3.In my view, such a closure will not be proper since there was a duty cast on the respondent to forward the complaint to the Central Crime Branch instead of closing the same. 4.In the light of the above observations, the respondent herein is called upon to recall the closure report and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

consequently forward the petitioner's complaint to the Central Crime Branch, Egmore, Chennai for further action. This process shall be completed within a period of one week from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5.This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above directions.
