The prayer sought for in this writ petition is for a mandamus, directing the respondents to disburse the amount of Rs.11,08,091/- together with interest within a stipulated period to be fixed by this Court.
2. The case of the petitioner is that he is the manufacturer of various pipes under the name and style of M/s.Umaiyal Polymers at Erode. In the year 2013, the third respondent
Panchayat issued a purchase order, for supply of water materials to the tune of Rs.11,08,091/-, which were supplied by the petitioner. Though, the said materials were utilized by the Panchayat, the aforesaid amount was not disbursed to the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 27.02.2017 to the first respondent, seeking disbursement of the aforesaid amount, but, the same has not been considered by the first respondent so far. Hence, the present writ petition.
3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the respondent authority would consider the petitioner's representation, if he is able to produce all the necessary documents, to establish his claim.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court directs the petitioner to submit all the necessary documents with regard to his claim to the respondent authority within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On such submission, the respondent authority shall consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.02.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
