ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for direction directing the respondent to alter the FIR in Crime No.3 of 2024 on the file of the respondent police station by including the Sections 420 and 417 of IPC and take action in accordance with law.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials placed on record.

3. On the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent registered FIR in Crime No.3 of 2024 for the offences punishable under Sections 498(A), 294(b), 323, 506(1) of IPC, Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 and Section 4 of TN Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002.

4. It is needless to say that while investigating the crime, if any incredible material available to attract the offences under Sections 417 and 420 IPC, the respondent is directed to alter the FIR accordingly.

5. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
