The petitioner has come forward with this petition seeking for a direction, directing the respondent to expedite the investigation and to file a final report within a stipulated time in Crime No.100 of 2016, dated 08.02.2016. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has lodged a complaint and the same was registered in Crime No.100 of 2016 on the file of the respondent police, for the offences punishable under Sections 406 and 420 IPC. But, the respondent has not shown any interest to investigate the same and file a final report. Therefore, he has come forward with this petition for the above stated relief.
3.Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the investigation is going on and hence, he prays for time to complete the investigation and file a final report. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
4.Considering the submissions made on both sides, on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, after due enquiry, the case in Crime No.100 of 2016 has been registered as early as on 08.02.2016 for the offences under Sections 406 and 420 IPC. Therefore, the respondent police is directed to investigate the matter and file a final report as expeditiously as possible.
The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
