promotion to the post of Block Development Officer pursuant to the Provisional Seniority List as on 01.01.2016 in the cadre of Deputy Block Development Officer working in Villupuram District with effect from the date on which the vacancy arise in the cadre of Block Development Officer.

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking promotion to the post of Block Development Officer pursuant to the Provisional Seniority List as on 01.01.2016 in the cadre of Deputy Block Development Officer working in Villupuram District. 2.

During the course of hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader has brought to the notice of the Court that the petitioner was promoted as Block Development Officer with effect from 31.03.2017 and he has placed written instructions before the Court to that effect. 3.

In view of the fact that the petitioner is already promoted as prayed in this writ petition, in my considered opinion no further adjudication is required in this writ petition.

Accordingly, this Writ Petition is closed.
