O R D E R
The writ petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent herein to provide the petitioner with necessary police protection to ensure that the petitioner's fundamental right to carry on business and enable the 1st respondent to provide his cable television operator services business are not curbed in any manner whatsoever.
2. The petitioner seeks police protection for the Standard Technical and Commercial Interconnection Agreement (DAS) with M/s. JAK Communications Pvt. Ltd., a company having its https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
registered office at J4, 6th Avenue, Anna Nagar East, Chennai - 600 102. On 23.04.2016 the petitioner was attacked with some unidentified persons and he lodged a police complaint with the second respondent regarding the removal of source cable and sought for protection but the authorities have not taken any steps in this regard. Now, almost three years have been lapsed and hence, due to the lapse of period, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted now. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh petition, on fresh cause of action, if so adviced.
3. With the above observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
