Prayer : Writ Petition filed Under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Certiorari, calling for the records in connection with the impugned order issued by the 3rd respondent viz. Ku.aa. No.003516/ 149/ NiPi 2/ Ni vu2/ Ko.Mi.Pa.AA/ 2017 dated 08.03.2017, in so far as seeking to revoke the order of promotion issued to the petitioners as Supernumerary Line Inspectors and quash the same so as to enabling the petitioners to continue in the post of Supernumerary Line inspectors. ORDER
The order, withdrawing the promotion granted to the petitioners, to the post of Line Inspector by creating a supernumerary post is under challenge in the present writ petition.
2.It is not under dispute that the petitioners were promoted to the post of Line Inspector on creation of the supernumerary post by the respondent Board. However, five persons, who are the writ petitioners herein alone were reverted back on account of the fact that excess supernumerary posts were created erroneously during the relevant point of time. 2/4
2. It is contended by the respondents that instead of 87 persons, 92 persons were promoted to the post of Line Inspector and therefore, five Line Inspectors were reverted back to the earlier post. However, during the pendency of the writ petition, all the petitioners were regularly promoted to the post of Line Inspector on 02.02.1018, 04.10.2018, 10.10.2018, 21.07.2018 & 01.10.2018 respectively.

Thus, when all the petitioners were already regularly promoted as Line Inspectors in the year 2018 itself, no further adjudication needs to be undertaken in respect of the grounds raised in the present writ petition. However, if any grievance exists for the petitioners regarding the fixation of seniority or otherwise, it is left open to them to approach the competent authority for redressal.
4. With these observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. Index : Yes 26.10.2022 Speaking order sha 3/4
