The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent herein viz., the Inspector of Police, Mannargudi Town Police Station, Thiruvarur District to complete the investigation in Crime No.150 of 2012 and file a final report before the concerned Court within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. On the basis of the complaint given by one U.Visvanathan, a case has been registered against the petitioner in Crime No.150 of 2012 for the alleged offences under Sections 465, 468, 482, 420 IPC on 21.01.2012. Though the case has been registered in the year 2012, till date there is no progress in investigation of the said case. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present petition.

3. When the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the investigation is in progress and the document seized from the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petitioner were sent to Forensic Science Department. After receiving the report, they would file the final report.

4. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.150 of 2012 pending on his file and file a final report as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
