This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the Respondent to complete the pending investigation expeditiously and file the final report in Cr.No.84/2009 on the file of the Inspector of Police, now Team IV, Central Crime Branch, Office of the Commissioner of Police, Egmore, Chennai.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. It is seen that FIR has been registered in the year 2009 and investigation has not yet been completed. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police submitted that investigation is almost completed and if three months time is granted by this Court, the investigation would be completed and final report would be filed by the respondent before the concerned Court.

4. Recording the same, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and either file a final report or closure report in accordance with law, under intimation to the petitioner.
