This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 16.05.2025 wherein the petitioner is seeking for renewal of the lease agreement.

2. Heard Ms.R.Sripriya, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.G.Mohammed Aseef, learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondents 1 and 2.

3. The case of the petitioner is that she is running a catering business in the subject property under the supervisory control of the Tamil Nadu Wakf Board. The petitioner entered upon a lease agreement with the Wakf in the year 2019. The lease agreement was for a period of two years. After the expiry of the lease period, the petitioner requested the third respondent to extend the lease period. Since there was no response, the petitioner also made a representation to the respondents 1 and 2 on 16.05.2025. Since it did not evoke any response, the present 2/4

writ petition has been filed before this Court.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials before this Court, there shall be a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to deal with the representation dated 16.05.2025 on its own merits and in accordance with law and convey the decision to the petitioner within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
