No.218 of 2023 SENTHILKUMAR RAMAMOORTHY,J By this application, the plaintiffs seek a direction to the Registrar General to endorse and hand over fixed deposit receipt of Canara Bank, Nandanam, Chennai, bearing No.2022/85k/ZA/612550 in Account No.140138185765/1, dated 14.03.2024 for a sum of Rs.89,27,394.79 in favour of the applicants.

2. The plaintiffs filed the suit for recovery of a sum of Rs.1,12,10,122/- with interest thereon at 24% per annum on the principal amount of Rs.54,48,414/-. By order dated 23.02.2024 in Application No.4927 of 2023, the 6th respondent was directed to deposit a sum of Rs.89,27,394.79 to the credit of the suit. Pursuant thereto, the 6th respondent/Syndicate Bank established a fixed deposit in the name of the Registrar General for a sum of Rs.89,27,394.79 and submitted the fixed deposit receipt to the 1/2 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

3. In the facts and circumstances outlined above, this application is liable to be allowed as prayed for. Therefore, the Registrar General is directed to make the necessary endorsement and hand over fixed deposit receipt bearing No.2022/85k/ZA/612550 pertaining to Account No.140138185765/1 in favour of the applicants.
