The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by him dated 10.03.2023 within a time stipulated b this Court.

2. The petitioner herein filed an application before the second respondent seeking transfer of patta in his name in respect of the property situated in S.No.389/2, Block-2, Sevilimedu Village, Kancheepuram District and the said application was dismissed by the second respondent. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner filed an appeal before the first respondent on 10.03.2023 and the same is pending without any progress. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents 1 & 2 would submit that the appeal will be considered and final orders will be passed, on its own merits, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

4. In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the first respondent to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 10.03.2023 and pass final order, on its own merits, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after affording opportunity to the petitioner as well as the respondents 3 to 5.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
