ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the proceedings S.C.No.426 of 2008 on the file of the XV Additional Sessions Judge, Chennai.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the first respondent submitted that there are totally 84 witnesses, out of which, 81 witnesses were examined as P.W.1 to P.W.81. The matter is posted for examination of the Investigating Officer. The trial commenced, the prosecution had examined most of the witnesses and at this stage, the quash petition has been filed to quash the entire proceedings.

3. In view of the aforesaid submission, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. The Trial Court is directed to complete the trial within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
