The petitioner/A3 seeks bail in Crime No.23 of 2023, registered by the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 22(c), 25 & 29(1) of NDPS Act. The petitioner had been remanded to judicial custody on 01.08.2023.

2.It is stated that in a lodge in Triplicane, the respondent had seized from A1 and A2, both present, particularly from A1 600 grams of Methaqualone, which is of commercial quantity. Thereafter, based on the confession statement, from the present petitioner/A3, in another place, 550 grams of Methaqualone was seized, which is also of commercial quantity.

ata 4.Taking into consideration the fact that the quantity of products seized is commercial in nature, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner herein. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
