O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the second respondent to issue sub division patta in respect of the land in survey No.56/1 situated at Moodur Village, Vandavasi Taluk, Thiruvannamalai District, by considering his representation dated 06.08.2024.

2. By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as respondents, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

According to the petitioner, he purchased 118 cents of land in Survey No.56/1 situated at Moodur Village, Vandavasi Taluk, Thiruvannamalai District, under three sale deeds registered as document Nos.768/1995, 311/1998 and 1045/2007 on the file of SRO, Keel Kodungaloor. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 06.08.2024 seeking survey of the land and issuance of patta in his name, and the same has not been considered till date. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court. 2/5

Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents would submit that the petitioner has not filed any on-line application seeking survey of the land and if such application is filed, the same will be considered on its own merits and appropriate orders will be passed.

In view of the above submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the petitioner to submit an on-line application for survey of the land and mutation of the records within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such application from the petitioner, the second respondent is directed to consider the same, and pass final orders, within a period of six weeks thereafter.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
