ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the first respondent to take necessary action and inspect the drainage and sewage system improperly maintained by second respondents tenant carrying out catering business in building situated at Plot No 188, Tagore Street, R.K. Nagar, Alwarthirunagar Post, Chennai 87 and contaminating petitioner's drinking water well situated adjacent to the said building which serves to be the primary drinking and ground water source and regulate the same based on the petitioner's complaints dated 21.07.2023, 09.11.2023 and 16.08.2024.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the first respondent and perused the materials available on record.

3. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the writ petition, the first respondent is directed to issue notice to the petitioner and the second respondent herein, conduct enquiry on the representations submitted by the petitioner and after giving an opportunity of hearing to them, pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date

of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
