O R D E R

The writ petition is filed seeking for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to pay compensation of award amount to the petitioner on behalf of the deceased Thimmakka payable by the respondents in respect of 1.22 acres of land comprised in Survey No.104B situated at Jujuvaidi Village, Hosur Taluk, Dharmapuri District.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner's grandmother, namely, Thimmakka had purchased the aforesaid property and the same was acquired by the Government of Tamil Nadu for the industrial purpose (SIPCOT). Thereafter, she has not received any compensation from the respondents. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation dated 29.12.2021 under RTI Act, 2005, before the second respondent and the same was forwarded to the first respondent requesting to furnish the details and compensation of the award amount, but the same was not considered by the respondents. Hence this petition.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the 2/4

petitioner will be satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation and dispose of the same within a stipulated time that may be fixed by this Court.

4. Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer that is now sought for in this writ petition before this Court and taking into account the submissions made on either side, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation in the present writ petition, the Writ Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 29.12.2021 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing all concerned, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
