This Petition has been filed seeking to amend the cause title of the above Writ Petition with reference to the 2nd respondent as "the Designated Officer, Tamil Nadu Food Safety & Drug Administration Department, Office of the Food Safety & Drug Administration Department, Sengam Salai, Old Government Hospital Building 1st Floor, Tiruvannamalai - 606 603" instead of "the Designated Officer, Food Safety & Standards Authority of India, Office of the Food Safety & Drug Administration Department, Sengam Salai, Old Government Hospital Building 1st Floor, Tiruvannamalai - 606 603".

It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the name of the second respondent had been wrongly given and the correct name is the Designated Officer, Tamil Nadu Food Safety & Drug Administration Department, Office of the Food Safety & Drug Administration Department, Sengam Salai, Old Government Hospital Building 1st Floor, Tiruvannamalai - 606 603, which office comes under the State Government. Admittedly, it is only a change of the official respondent and is required to enable the said respondent to answer the averments made in the Writ Petition. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

3. In view of above, this Petition is allowed. 4.

Registry is directed to carry out necessary amendment in the aforesaid Writ Petition deleting the name of the second respondent and in that place incorporate the name of the second respondent as "the Designated Officer, Tamil Nadu Food Safety & Drug Administration Department, Office of the Food Safety & Drug Administration Department, Sengam Salai, Old Government Hospital Building 1st Floor, Tiruvannamalai - 606 603".
