O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider and dispose the petitioner's representation dated 26.08.2016 seeking sanction of educational loan of Rs.4,50,000/- (Rupees Four lakhs Fifty Thousands Only) pertaining to the academic year 2015 to 2020 under the Gyan Jyothi Educational Loan Scheme to petitioner to pursue B.H.M.S (Bachelor of Homoeopathy Medicine Science) Degree at Dr.Hahneman Homoeopathy Medical College & Research Centre, Kneripatti, Rasipuram Taluk, Namakkal District - 637 408, affiliated by Dr.M.G.R. University within a stipulated time frame.

2. On this day, when the matter came up for hearing, Mr.Johnkingslin, learned counsel for the respondent Bank, submitted that the petitioner has not preferred any application seeking educational loan till date and, if proper application is filed, the bank would process the application in accordance with IBA norms.

3. In view of the above, this Court permits the petitioner to approach the respondent bank within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the respondent bank shall furnish the petitioner with an application for educational loan along with necessary particulars and the petitioner shall fill up the form by enclosing necessary documents and submit to the bank immediately and on receipt of the same, the respondent bank is directed to consider and dispose of the application for educational loan, if papers are in order and dispose of the same, in accordance with IBA Norms, within a period of one month, thereafter and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner.

4. The writ petition is disposed of, accordingly. No costs.
