ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents consider the petitioner representation as nominee dated 05.07.2024 and 27.08.2024 to get the fixed deposit money of my paternal uncle Sathyamurthy S/o Kannappan.

2. Heard and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner's paternal uncle one Sathyamurthy had deposited a sum of Rs.10,00,000/- by way of Fixed deposit on 07.03.2024 with the second respondent, in which the petitioner was appointed as a nominee. While being so, his paternal uncle the said Sathyamurthy died on 09.06.2024. The petitioner, who is being a nominee of the deceased Sathyamurthy submitted a representation to return the fixed deposit amount. However, it is pending without consideration. Further, admittedly, there is no legal heir for the petitioner's paternal uncle Sathyamurthy.

4. In view of the above, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner and after verifying his identity, disburse the amount which was already deposited by the deceased Sathyamurthy, in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
