2. Admittedly, the petitioners lands have been acquired under the State Highways Act and award was passed as early as October 2020. The petitioners not satisfied with quantum of compensation and therefore they submitted instant application on 26.08.2023 before the respondents seeking enhancement compensation under Section 20 of the Tamil Nadu State Highways Act. The time limit for delay in seeking enhancement of compensation is only 60 days, but in the instant case applications have been filed by the petitioners nearly after three years.
3. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to issue any positive direction to the respondents to consider the application of the petitioners dated 26.08.2023 as it is presented well beyond the time limit. Accordingly, these Writ Petitions are dismissed. No costs.
