For Petitioner :Mr.S.Doraisamy (in both cases) For Respondents:Mrs.Karthika Ashok, St.C.
(both cases) --------- COMMON ORDER The petitioner herein aggrieved by the action of the respondents not permitting him to participate in the tender under the guise of limited tender has approached this Court by way of the writ petitions.
2. This Court, on being prima facie satisfied granted an interim stay of the tender process dated 09.09.2019 floated by the second respondent.
3. Vacate stay petitions have been filed by the respondents stating that due to upcoming monsoon, the respondents decided to call for the limited Tenders to clear the storm water drain in all the 15 zones and to invite tender for 16 works. They restricted the participants, based on their locality, since the person outside the locality, who has not carried on the work earlier may not be able to do the work within the time stipulated.
4. After the interim order passed by this Court, it is reported before this Court that the respondents have decided to permit all eligible contractors for all the works, without any restriction and they have also decided to extent the last date for inviting the tender upto 09.10.2019 till 04.00 p.m.
5. In the light of the above submissions, these writ petitions are disposed of. The respondents herein are permitted to extend E-Tender upto 09.10.2019 at 04.00 p.m., to enable all the eligible contractors to participate in all the Tenders and
award the Tender as per the Tender Transparency Act. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. Sd/- Asst.Registrar (Insp Cell) /true copy/ Sub Asst. Registrar ari To:
