ORDER

This Contempt petition has been filed for the wilful disobedience of the order passed by this Court in W.P.No.3813 of 2021 dated 02.02.2023. 2.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, it was brought to the notice of this Court that the connected contempt petition Nos.2691, 2692, 2693, 2694, 2695, 2696, 2697, 2698, 2699, 2700, 2701, 2702, 2703, 2704, 2705, 2706, 2707, 2708, 2736, 2737, 2738, 2739 and 2740 of 2023 was closed by this Court by an order dated 22.12.2023 in the following terms.

3. In view of the above position, the petitioners are at liberty to approach the respondents at the time of winding up of the Corporation for payment of duties, and if they are not considered, they can proceed against the respondents in accordance with law.

This contempt petition can also be disposed of in terms of the above order. It is brought to the notice of this Court that till date, no steps have been taken to move an application for winding up of the corporation. Considering the 2/4

fact that the petitioner and others have been running from pillar to post for more than a decade and also the fact that the Government has already granted approval for winding up of the respondent corporation, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to immediately initiate proceedings for winding up and for appointment of a liquidator so that the claimants can make their claim. This process shall be completed by the 2nd respondent within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
