Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent Bank to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.12.2016 in accordance with law and direct the respondent to grant Educational loan to the petitioner's son Suriya who is now studying Ist year B.E.Mechanical at KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore.

O R D E R

The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the respondent Bank to consider her representation dated 29.12.2016, wherein and whereby, she sought for education loan to her son Suriya now studying in B.E.Mechanical Course at KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore.

2.The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondent Bank is not considering the request for grant of educational loan. The respondent Bank filed a counter affidavit stating that the respondent Bank is ready and willing to consider the loan application of the petitioner as per the norms and rules as prescribed by Reserve Bank of India, provided the petitioner forward the application with ID proof and PAN card. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. Though the counter is filed as stated supra, learned counsel for the respondent Bank submitted that the application filed by the petitioner already will be considered by the respondent Bank provided necessary documents are furnished by the petitioner before the respondent.

4. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the petitioner to approach the respondent Bank with necessary documents within a period of seven days from the date of receipt of a copy of this orders. On receipt of such document, the respondent Bank shall consider and grant education loan to the petitioner's son within a period of two weeks thereafter. No costs.
