This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the 2nd respondentPolice not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry in respect of the property situated at Old Door No.48, New Door No.17, East Canal Bank Road, Gandhi Nagar, Adyar, Chennai - 600 020.

2. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for respondents-Police, on instructions, submitted that on receipt of the complaint of one Vijayan from the Chief Minister Cell, the second respondent-Police called the petitioner for enquiry and after enquiry, it was found that the dispute between the parties is civil in nature and hence, the said complaint was closed. As on date, no complaint/petition is pending against the petitioner before the second respondent-Police. Therefore, there is no harassment as alleged by the petitioner.

3. It is seen that due to property dispute between the petitioner and the said Vijayan, the petitioner had already approached the Civil Court by way of filing civil suit and the same is pending. Therefore, it is open to the petitioner to work out her remedy before the competent civil Court, if she so desires.
