ORDER

This Civil Revision Petition is filed seeking a direction to the Sub-Court, Poonamallee, to dispose of the Rent Control Appeal filed by the respondent within a time frame.

2. Having regard to the limited prayer made in this revision, this Court is inclined to dispose of this revision, even without notice to the respondent.

3. According to the petitioner/landlord, he filed a petition for eviction of respondent/tenant in RCOP.No.30 of 2011 on the file of the District Munsif Court, Ambattur and obtained order of eviction. Aggrieved by the same, the respondent has filed the Rent Control Appeal in RCA.No.18 of 2016 on the file of the Sub-Court, Poonamallee.

4. The perusal of the E-Court entry filed in the typed set of papers would suggest that the Rent Control Appeal has been adjourned from October 2017 onwards, on the ground that the records from the Lower Court is awaited. Since there is no substantial progress in the appeal proceedings from October 2017, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the Court below to dispose of suit within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs.
