Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to give suitable instruction to their respective department of all districts in Tamil Nadu for taking appropriate road safety measures to the footfall pilgrims (ghj ahj;jphpfs;) of the Arulmigu Thandayuthapani Swamy Thirukoil, Palani, by considering the petitioner representation dated 15.01.2017.

ORDER
When the matter had been heard on 15.02.2023, Mr.Radhakrishnan, who had appeared in-person, stated that the respondents have taken sufficient measures to maintain walking path upto Arulmigu Thandayuthapani Swamy Thirukoil, Palani. Though he undertook to file a memo, the same was not done and, hence, the matter has been adjourned on two occasions awaiting the same.

Today, a representation is made on behalf of the petitioner to the effect that he is unwell and, thus, unable to file the memo.

Recording the submission made on 15.02.2023 by the 2/4
petitioner, this Court is of the view that the mandamus as sought for by the petitioner stands achieved by virtue of several directions that have periodically been issued pending writ petition and implemented by the respondents. Hence, this writ petition is closed. The respondents are expected to maintain the walking path without necessitating yet another writ petition by this or any other petitioner for this purpose. No costs.
