This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the respondentPolice to conduct the enquiry in Crime No.136 of 2021 pending on the file of the respondent-Police and file a final report within a stipulated time that may be fixed by this Court.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the case in Crime No.136 of 2021 was registered against the accused persons for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 364, 294(b), 307 and 149 of IPC on 05.03.2021, but so far the respondent-Police had not taken any steps to expedite the investigation and file a charge sheet. Hence, the present petition.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is of the view that since the occurrence had taken place on 04.03.2021 and the case was registered on 05.03.2021, the respondent-Police is directed to expedite the investigation in Crime No.136 of 2021 and file a final report as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
