Heard Mr.M.Vijayakumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Gurunathan, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents and perused the materials available on record. 2.

The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking a direction against the respondents for considering his representation dated 25.11.2021 for an appointment on compassionate grounds. The petitioner's father, namely, Soundararajan was working as a Marker in a private aided School. Subsequently, in pursuant to the order passed in W.P.No.2634 of 2012 dated 21.02.2020, the petitioner's father was treated as a Government servant. However, he died in harness on 27.11.2011 leaving behind the petitioner's mother, sisters and grandparents as his legal heirs. Hence, the petitioner has given a representation to the 1st respondent to provide him an appointment on compassionate grounds but the same was not considered by him so far. 3.

It is seen that the petitioner was only a minor at the time of death of his father and his mother had applied on his behalf and the petitioner had attained majority thereafter and hence, there might be some 2/5

delay on the part of the respondents to consider his compassionate appointment.

In view of the above circumstances, the 1st respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 25.11.2021 and to provide him an appointment under the compassionate grounds suiting to the qualification and pass an order to that effect within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
