[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 & 2 to produce the detenue namely Nivetha, D/o.Anandhan, aged about 18 years, before this Court and set her at liberty.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that her daughter Nivetha, aged 18 years went missing from 08.10.2021 and that the police are not taking effective steps to secure her.

3. On instructions, Mr.R.Muniyapparaj, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that, on a complaint given by the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petitioner, a case in Maraimalai Nagar Police Station Crime No.1009 of 2021 has been registered for 'woman missing' and investigation is in progress.

4. In view of the above, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed with a direction to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Chengalpattu to monitor the investigation in Maraimalai Nagar Police Station Crime No.1009 of 2021 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when the detenue viz., Nivetha is secured, she shall be produced before the Judicial Magistrate - II, Chengalpattu, under intimation to the petitioner. On such production, the learned Magistrate shall pass appropriate orders with regard to the custody of the detenue.
