The petitioner was arrested on 15.07.2025, pursuant to the complaint given by one Balaji/defacto complainant to the respondent Police for the alleged offence under Sections 296(b), 311, 324(4) and 351(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023 in Crime No.618 of 2025.

2. On 14.07.2025, the petitioner/accused abused the defacto complainant in filthy language and robbed a sum of Rs.2,000/- from him and attacked him with liquor bottle. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an innocent person and he is ready to abide by any condition imposed by this Court. Hence, he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) states that 22 previous cases are pending against the petitioner. Hence, he opposed for grant of bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the bad antecedents of the petitioner, nature of complaint 2/4

and the fact that if the petitioner is released on bail, he would tamper the evidence, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 18.08.2025 ssb Note :
