the 86 square meters of land comprised in Town Survey No.2, Block No.11 Ward No.AP (42) Anna Nagar, Ukkadam, Pothanur Road, situated within the Coimbatore Municipal Corporation without following the due process of law and handover physical possession of the land to the petitioners by considering the petitioners representation dated 17.08.2024. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioners' representation dated 17.08.2024.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that in this case, the petitioners have given a representation dated 17.08.2024, not to acquire the 86 square meters of land comprised in Town Survey No.2, Block No.11 Ward No.AP (42) Anna Nagar, Ukkadam, Pothanur Road, situated within the Coimbatore Municipal Corporation without following the due process of law and handover physical possession of the land to the petitioners. However, the said representation was not at all considered by the respondents, as on date. Hence, this petition.

3. In reply, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the

respondents would submit that the petitioners' representation dated 17.08.2024 will be disposed of by the respondents within a period of 8 weeks.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the entire materials available on record.

5. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioners' representation dated 17.08.2024 and dispose of the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No cost. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 10-03-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order VM
