Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to give effect to the revised pay scale, which the petitioner is entitled to, together with other allowances, namely, Dearness Allowance, Surrender, Medical Leave from the year 2000 and consequently direct the second respondent to pay the arrears and thereafter pay the petitioner's salary as per the revised pay scale.

ORDER

The petitioner has come to this Court seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the second respondent to give effect to the revised pay scale, which the petitioner is entitled to, together with other allowances, namely, Dearness Allowance, Surrender

Leave Salary, Medical allowance from the year 2000 and consequently direct the second respondent to pay the arrears and salary.

2. When the matter was taken up, the learned counsel for the petitioner, confining his prayer, requested this Court to direct the respondents to consider the pending representation submitted in this regard.

3. Mr.L.P.Shanmugasundaram, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

4. Considering the fact that the learned counsel for the petitioner has confined his relief, without going to the merits of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
