.. Respondents Prayer: The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.09.2016 within the stipulated time.

O R D E R

The Petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.09.2016, within the time frame.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that her son was admitted in the hospital on 08.12.2015 after bitten by the poisonous insect while he was helping the poor people during

Chennai floods on 12.12.2015 at Stanley Hospital, Chennai. In these circumstances, the petitioner gave a representation to the respondents to consider the petitioner for a Government job to take care of the higher studies of her daughter. The petitioner has also given a representation to this effect on 12.09.2016.

4. The 2nd respondent, the District Collector, Thiruvallur filed a counter affidavit, wherein, she has stated that the Tamil Nadu Government has announced Rs.1 lakh as relief fund under CMPRF Scheme and the G.O was also issued vide G.O. (ID) No. 602, Revenue (D.M.I(1) Dept., dated 28.12.2015 and the same was also handed over to the dependants of the victim, by way of a cheque.

5. Mr. A.N. Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader submitted that the 2nd respondent has no power to pay more amount to the petitioner as compensation.

6. Since, it is not in dispute that the petitioner's son had died while he was helping the people during the chennai floods, the respondents can consider the representation given by the petitioner sympathetically.

7. In these circumstances, I direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.09.2016 sympathetically and pass orders, within six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
