O R D E R

The petitioner herein is the consumer under the respondent. Normally Bi-monthly consumption charges is about Rs.1000/- to Rs.1100/-, whereas due to some technical fault, the meter installed in the petitioner premises was short circuited and burnt and the same was informed to the respondent. The staff of the respondent installed a new meter and thereafter, meter reading for consumption has shown as 1289 units for which, the petitioner is liable to pay Rs.6987/-.

2. The petitioner has sent representation on 29.06.2019 by registered post on 01.07.2019 to verify and rectify the improper reading. The said representation is still pending disposal at the end of the respondent. The apprehension of the petitioner is that the respondent may disconnect the service for not paying the exorbitant demand for consumption. Hence, the present writ petition is filed.

3. The learned Standing counsel for the TANGEDCO reports that the representation of the petitioner is under consideration and orders will be passed within a period of three weeks. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. Recording the same, this Writ Petition is disposed of. The respondent shall not take any coercive action before passing order on the representation of the petitioner.
