By consent of both sides, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2.The case of the petitioner is that her husband K.B.Prakash Rao was working as a driver attached to the Vyasarpadi Depot of the respondent Corporation and died on 24.12.2001 while in service. Thereafter, the petitioner made a request to the respondent to sanction her the DCRG and other terminal benefits payable to her husband and also to grant family pension on account of the death of her husband. Though the respondent received the request on 31.01.2019, no steps are taken and keeping the matter pending for the past 17 years. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would further submit that it would suffice if a direction is issued to the respondent to consider the representation dated 31.01.2019 made by the petitioner, within a reasonable time fixed by this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
4.Thus, without going into the merits of the case, this Court is inclined to direct the respondent to consider the representation dated 31.01.2019 made by the petitioner to sanction her the DCRG and other terminal benefits payable to her husband and also to grant family pension on account of the death of her husband and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
