The above application is filed by the Official Liquidator for direction to the respondent to pay a sum of Rs.14,731/- together with interest at 18 % p.a from 18.06.2014, the date on which the company in liquidation was wound up till date of entire settlement. From the report of the Official Liquidator and the documents filed, it is seen that the respondent has been shown as a debtor-firm and a sum of Rs.14,731 is due.
2. Notice has been served on the respondent but however they have not chosen to appear before this Court.
3. Considering the fact that the amounts are shown as due, the Official Liquidator has also addressed the said respondent and they have also reverted saying that they would respond on collecting the documents pertaining to the transactions. This reply has been sent on 02.01.2019. Since the respondent had not come forward to clear the said amount, the Official Liquidator has come forward with the present application and private notice issued to them has also been returned and they have chosen not to appear before this Court.
4. Petition is ordered as prayed for.
