The relief sought for in this writ petition is to direct the Assistant Engineer, Tamilnadu Electricity Board K.K.Nagar, Chennai-600 078/ the second respondent to grant electricity service connection in the name of the petitioner to the portion in occupation of the petitioner bearing Door No.773, Munusamy Salai, K.K.Nagar, Madras -600 078.

2. This writ petition is filed in the year 2004. Since the matter is pending for more than 14 years, but there is no representation for the petitioner to state whether the petitioner has got the electricity service connection or not. Therefore, it is made clear that the petitioner is not interested to proceed with the case. Hence, there is nothing survives in this writ petition.

3. In the result, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
