COMMON ORDER These petition have been filed to quash the entire records in pursuant to the Spl.SC.No. 11 of 2022 on the file of the Special Court for Exclusive Trail of SC/ST Cases Vellore, Vellore District and quash the same.

2. The facts of the case is that the petitioner in Cr.O.P.No.32751 of 2025/L.Bharath Kumar married B.Prabha who is arrayed as 3rd respondent in both the petitions. Due to the said wedlock the couple was blessed with a male child. It is alleged that the petitioners in Crl.O.P.No 21319 of 2023 who are inlaws of the 3rd respondent had ill-treated her and her husband also accompanied them. Due to which she filed a Divorce Petition under the ground of cruelty in F.C.O.P.No.374 of 2021 on the file of the Family Court at Vellore, Vellore District on 26.11.2021. After receipt of the summons the 3rd respondent had preferred a complaint before the second respondent on 12.01.2022. On receipt of the complaint FIR was registered on 24.06.2022 in Crime No.

142 of 202 u/s 341, 498A & 506(i) r/w Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Women Harassment Act 2002, r/w Section 3 (1) (s) & 3(2) (va) of the Schedule Castes and the Scheduled Tribes ( Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act, 2015. After completion of the investigation final report was filed which was taken on file in SplS.C.No. 11 of 2022 on the file of the Special Court for Exclusive Trial of SC/ST cases Vellore, Vellore District for the offences U/s SC/ST cases, Vellore, Vellore District for the offence under section 341, 498A & 506(i) R/w Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Women's Harassment Act 2002, r/w Section 3(1)(s), 3(2) (va) & 3(1) (r) of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes ( Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act, 2015 . To quash the same the present petitions have been filed.

While pending these quash petitions the parties have entered into a joint compromise memo on 02.01.2026 which is extracted below: In the above said quash petitions this Hon'ble court was pleased to pass a direction on 12.12.2025 to remit the amount of Rs.2,31,601/- to the District Adi-Dravidar Welfare Department, Vellore, Vellore District by the 3rd respondent, As per the direction the 3rd respondent had approached the District Adi-Dravidar Welfare Department, Vellore, Vellore District on 18.12.2025 along with the copy of the order, after approval from the Higher Officials challan was issued to the 3rd respondent on 29.12.2025 and on 30.12.2025 the 3rd respondent had remitted the amount of Rs.2,31,601/- in Reference no: K5-960-2022 in Challan No: 20251229027062 dated 30.12.2025 through State Bank of India (PBB) Gandhi Nagar, Vellore District and the copy of the receipt was handed over to the District Adi-Dravidar Welfare, Vellore, Vellore district and the copy of the challan was filed along with this memo.

Hence it is humbly prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to accept this memo and allow the Quash Petition in Crl.O.P.No.32751 of 2025 and Crl.O.P.No.21319 of 2023 by quashing the proceedings in Spl.S.C.No.11 of 2022 on the file of the Special Court for Exclusive Trial of SC/ST cases, Vellore, Vellore District and pass orders.

5. In view of the above Joint compromise memo these Criminal Original Petitions are allowed. Consequently the connected miscellaneous petition are closed.
