The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is the Principal of the Valivalam Desikar Polytechnic College, Nagapattinam and the said institution is a Government aided institution. The vacancies for the teaching staffs for engineering and non engineering courses have to be filled up, for which the second respondent has to accord permission. The AICTE has recorded deficiency in staff and due to the same has ordered reduction of 15% sanctioned intake in all Courses. In spite of the same, the second respondent is not granting permission to fill up the vacancies. The Institution has sent nearly 27 request letters to the 2nd respondent to fill up the existing entry level vacancies in the teaching staff for engineering and non engineering courses. However, till date the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
respondent has not granted any permission to fill up the vacancies. Hence, the present writ petition is filed.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that a direction has to be issued to the second respondent to dispose of the representation dated 04.02.2019 and pass orders.
3.Mr.C.Munumasamy, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents conceded to the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner.
4. Without expressing any opinion on merits of the case and considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, I am inclined to issue direction to the second respondent to consider the representation dated 04.02.2019 submitted by the petitioner and pass orders within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
