This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to issue change over connection in SC.No.721 comprising in S.No.333/ situated at Unathur Village, Thalaivasal Taluk, Salem District to another well in the same survey number based on the petitioners representation dated14.02.2024.
2. The case of the petitioner is that there are two wells available in the petitioners land in S.No.333/1. The well with the service connection is getting dry and hence, the petitioner has made a representation to the respondents to provide the change over connection from the existing well to another well which is available in the same survey number within 75 mtrs and the same
was not considered so far. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present petition before this Court seeking appropriate remedy.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may issue a direction to the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation within the time frame as fixed by this Court.
4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the appropriate orders will be passed on the petitioner's representation in accordance with law.
5. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.
6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this Court directs the 4th respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation after providing opportunity to the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this
order.
